COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT

Mission Critical Performance from -65 to 160F

Ausco works closely with aircraft Prime manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers to create fluid control solutions that optimize the balance of cost, weight and performance.  Most commercial aircraft typically operate at hydraulic pressures at 3,000 or 5,000 psi. The key to aircraft efficiency is to minimize fuel burn.  Using smaller, lighter and more efficient valves to control weight and fuel burn can lower hourly operating costs.

Ausco valves are used in the management of fuel systems to control the flow of fuel to the engine.  Hydraulic systems are used on aircraft to control and actuate landing gear, flaps and brakes.  Commercial aircraft also use these systems on flight controls, spoilers, thrust reversers and other similar applications.

Valves used in commercial aircraft can be used to control and regulate upstream and downstream fluid pressure, lubricate bearings, bypass the flow of a fluid, mix different fluids, control thermal properties and restrict bleed, dump or stop the flow of fuel or other liquids.  Cost is the key driver for components in the commercial aircraft industry. Not just the cost to procure the component, but the total cost of ownership. Reliability is a key cost driver for these criteria.  Contact Ausco and feel secure in the knowledge that you’re working with the premier custom designer of aerospace valves and fluid subsystems.

BUSINESS AIRCRAFT

Delivering for Business Customers On-Time

Business aircraft need to manage fuel flow to the engines and hydraulics for the landing gear actuation system.  Ausco provides a wide range of valves and valves systems to the leading manufacturers of business aircraft and/or to their suppliers.

In larger aircraft, hydraulics can impact primary flight controls, including flap/slat drives, spoiler and rudders, landing gear, nose wheel steering, thrust reversers and emergency hydraulic-driven electrical generators. These systems resemble commercial aircraft in style and sophistication. Both use hydraulic fuses extensively in the landing gear systems.

Smaller bizjets typically have simple systems that are primarily electro-mechanical with hydraulics used only for landing gear and possibly flight controls.  Key design consideration for business aircraft can include pressure and temperature variations, weight management, leakage and component and systems reliability.  Ausco valves and manifolds are designed for reliability with mean time between failure rates that exceed industry standards.

AERO ENGINES

Reliable, Affordable, Precision Engineered Solutions

Ausco is a supplier of valves and fuel management systems to aircraft engine manufacturers.  Design consideration for fuel management components for aircraft engines includes material selection for high temperature, fireproofing, and explosion prevention.

Ausco’s relief valves are often used to precisely regulate the output of pumps in fuel and lubrication systems.  Sophisticated regulators are used to regulate lube oil flow to the bearings under various flight conditions and fuel regulators that do  Fueldraulics. Our valves are designed for superior performance in real world environments where FOD and water are present in the fuel and lube systems.

POWER GENERATION

With Everything on the Line, Our Parts Don't Fail

There are many hydraulic servoactuation systems on Formula 1 and other racing cars.

AUSCO creates high performance valves such as solenoid valves, relief valves, check valves and regulators are key components in these systems. The key to these valves is to get more performance in a smaller, lighter package.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT

Flow Control

Hydraulic solutions are performance mission critical in oil field management applications.  Hydraulics control directional drilling and areas of well development. Valves are used in hydraulic fracturing and other extraction methods.

Ausco valves are used in the directional drilling in modern wells.  Our valves monitor and measure the gas and crude oil that are being extracted.  Ausco valves have been used to control the injectables going into the well and the gases and fluids coming out of the well.

Our expertise creating precision controls using high temperature materials readily lends itself to controlling caustic materials in extreme environments.  Ausco’s reputation for reliable components ensures that your tools stay downhole for the full life of the tool.
